Honestly? The experience. I'm not just here to take pretty pictures — I'm here to make your daughter feel seen, valued, and celebrated. My seniors consistently leave their session feeling more confident than when they arrived, and that transformation is my favorite part of this whole thing. I guide every pose, keep the energy fun and relaxed, and cheer her on the entire time. She doesn't need to know how to pose. She just needs to show up and have fun.

Do you work with seniors who are shy or uncomfortable in front of a camera?

Those are actually my favorite sessions. I've spent 9 years learning how to help even camera-shy seniors feel relaxed, natural, and genuinely beautiful. We move, we laugh, we chat and it never feels stiff or forced. She doesn't need to feel photogenic. She doesn't need to know how to pose. I will guide her through every moment with easy, natural prompts, encouragement, movement, and a whole lot of hype. The shyest seniors end up having the most fun. Confidence photographs beautifully, and it's my job to help her find it.

What does the full experience look like from start to finish?

From the first email to the final reveal, everything is designed to feel easy and special. We start with a Zoom call — just the three of us — to chat through her vision, pick locations, and plan outfits and details. Then comes session day: first is professional hair and makeup where she will be the model for the day, then two hours of guided posing, real laughter, beautiful light, and lots of hype. After the session, we meet for your in-person Reveal where she sees her images for the first time and chooses what she loves. No rushing, no guessing — just a really beautiful experience from beginning to end.

How long is the session and how many outfits can she bring?

Senior sessions last about two hours with up to four outfit changes. That's plenty of time for real variety of looks and vibes without ever feeling rushed.

Where do sessions take place?

I photograph throughout Raleigh and the Triangle area. We will plan the location together based on her personality and the aesthetic she's going for, whether that's a sun-drenched field, urban city backdrop, or flower garden.

After your glam session with a pro hair & makeup artist, we’ll laugh, move, and celebrate. You’ll actually have fun and that’s when the best photos happen.

3. the reveal

A week after your photo shoot we’ll have an in-person Design & Ordering Session. You’ll see your beautiful portraits for the first time, together with your family. I’ll help you select your favorite portraits to be displayed in my most popular custom products.
