Avery you are wonderfully and beautifully made. This ray of sunshine is a Class of 2020 graduate of Sanderson High School and is already in Wilmington to attend UNC - Wilmington as a member of their Honors College. Avery sees the bright side of situations and her smile lights up a room, but the quality I admire most in Avery is her COURAGE. Not many high school seniors, or people of any age really, will get on a stage in front of 5000 United Methodist youth to share their personal testimony. Avery chose courage and shared her amazing story of personal struggle at Pilgrimage last winter and inspired thousands of teens! She has an inner light and beauty that literally shines through her.

During the COVID global pandemic, many of my favorite spots for senior portraits were closed, so we explored the charming Rose Garden at Raleigh Little Theater. We chased the beautiful light, dodged the bulldozers and backhoes excavating parts of the garden, and creating stunning portraits of Avery!
